Employee experience is a critical factor in driving business success. When employees are happy and engaged, they are more productive, creative, and likely to stay with the company. Binare is a technology company that is committed to creating a great employee experience. In this article, we will explore the insights we gained from our former employee.

Amaya Hundal – our former employee- is now a portfolio analyst intern for the Illusian Family Office. She is a highly skilled and experienced individual with a diverse background in marketing, business development, and sales. She has a proven track record of success in leading and managing teams, developing and implementing marketing campaigns, and generating leads. She is also a strategic thinker with a strong ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

My academic background involves a BBA in International Business and an MSc in Banking and International Finance. I started working in 2016 delivering advertisements, followed by an admin job alongside food delivery work, and then a local leadership role at the same food delivery company. Marketing and sales were consistent concepts I had applied throughout these roles.

My role as a Business and Commercialization intern at Binare was one of my first formative roles in my professional life and the transition to the Sales and Marketing Specialist role was a great development.

I learned about Binare’s internship opening via my university’s channels (JAMK University of Applied Sciences). One of the previous members of Binare’s sales and marketing team had posted about it, and I was quite intrigued by the role as it felt like a natural progression from my previous experience and fit well as a support as I worked on my MSc degree.

My time at Binare has given me insights into the daily running of startups and has highlighted the importance of synergies across departments within an organization. The experience and skills I developed at Binare have played their part in where I am in my career now, and certainly have helped in my personal growth, especially considering the flexibility that was offered to me as I was completing my master’s degree simultaneously.

That would have to be earning the company at least 4 long-term clients/collaborators, and developing segment-specific sales funnels and material, in a rather niche client space.

Self-initiative, strategizing, and communication would be the 3 key takeaways from my time at Binare that have helped shape my professional development and personal growth. I think it’s the nature of startups wherein self-initiative becomes the standard, for founders and employees alike. Furthermore, as I mostly made up the 1-person focus on the sales activities, developing various sales strategies for various segments was another aspect I had the pleasure of undertaking. And of course, communication is the key to sales.

To be willing to take the initiative that their role requires and share new ways of doing with the team.

I am exploring whatever comes my way or whatever I am intrigued with, the sky is the limit (or not even that anymore!). I see my path being a meaningful one, regardless of the direction I choose.
