Data Load on FastCVE now includes an additional feature: Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV). Users can retrieve data related to the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog from the CISA website by executing the command `docker exec fastcve load -d kev`. This command fetches the KEV data and saves essential details such as requiredAction, vulnerabilityName, dueDate, and dateAdded. This ensures that the information comes from an authoritative source, benefiting the cybersecurity community, network defenders, and organizations by helping them better manage vulnerabilities and stay updated with threat activities. Note that not all CVEs have KEV data; as of the latest catalog version on June 3, 2024, there are 1,118 KEVs

To search for CVEs with KEV data, users can use the –exploitable option. This ensures that the requested CVE has KEV-related data or limits the search to CVEs with KEV data, for example: ‘exec fastcve search –search-info cve –cve CVE-1999-0006’ or ‘exec fastcve search –search-info cve –cve CVE-2018-18325 –exploitable’.

In these examples, CVE-2018-18325 returns KEV data, while CVE-2020-0001 does not and returns no results.

Additionally, the user interface now includes a KEV option under Search CVE, allowing users to filter their search for CVEs with KEV data.
